Where have you visited today?

Recently I went back to Thailand where I lived for six years.
It was lovely, familiar. I went to my favourite restaurants, hung out at my favourite places.
It was enjoyable, relaxed, easy.
I was comfortable doing what I knew best.

I began to think my practice, and how my body is like a map too.
There are places I like to visit often, because I am familiar with them.
There are places I choose to avoid, because going there will challenge me, cause me to feel anxious as I wonder what I will find.
Yet, exploring makes us more curious, more intuitive, more enriched and sometimes we find something so beautiful, so divine we want to visit it again before we move on to somewhere new.

So, the next time you step on the yoga mat, I invite you to think about the places you would like to go.
